Job Overview
As a CloudStack Engineer, you will help deploy, manage and support cloud and compute infrastructure, ensuring environments remain reliable, secure and performant.
The CloudStack Engineer role is aimed at someone with around 2 to 3 years of experience across cloud infrastructure, Linux, networking, virtualisation or platform engineering.
You will work across Apache CloudStack or similar private cloud technologies, Linux environments, KVM virtualisation, networking and compute infrastructure. Previous CloudStack experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong OpenStack, KVM or private cloud experience are also encouraged to apply.
This CloudStack Engineer position offers the opportunity to build deeper technical expertise while working alongside experienced technology professionals on live infrastructure.

Supporting the deployment, configuration and management of Apache CloudStack environmentsManaging virtual machines, compute resources, storage and networkingSupporting Linux-based infrastructure and KVM virtualisation environmentsMonitoring cloud infrastructure to maintain availability, performance and reliabilityTroubleshooting issues across cloud platforms, Linux, networking and virtualisationSupporting the deployment and commissioning of new compute capacityInvestigating infrastructure incidents and identifying root causesSupporting infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and configuration changesWorking across both cloud software and underlying physical infrastructureDocumenting configurations, processes and technical findingsIdentifying opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability and automationWorking closely with senior engineers and technical leadership to resolve infrastructure challengesHere are the skills you'll need:
Around 2 to 3 years of experience within cloud infrastructure, systems, platform engineering or a related technical roleExperience with Apache CloudStack, OpenStack or similar private cloud technologiesGood Linux administration and troubleshooting skillsUnderstanding of KVM or similar virtualisation technologiesGood understanding of compute, storage and virtualisation conceptsKnowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs and core networking principlesExperience troubleshooting cloud or infrastructure issuesExposure to infrastructure automation or scripting would be beneficialA practical and methodical approach to technical problem-solvingStrong attention to detailClear communication and technical documentation skillsAn interest in AI infrastructure, data centres and high-performance computing
