Head of Operations

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Operations to take strategic responsibility for our support services and play a critical role within our Executive Team. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading specialist organisations.

This organisation is a leading care company supporting individuals with learning disabilities across the North West, providing a wide range of specialist services and support to help improve the lives and wellbeing of the people it serves

As the Director of Operations your key responsibilities include:

Provide strategic leadership and oversight across a portfolio of autism and adult social care services Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s operational strategy, ensuring services meet long-term objectives Take executive-level responsibility for service quality, performance, regulatory compliance and safeguarding Oversee financial performance, budgets and resource allocation to ensure services remain financially sustainable Drive service transformation, continuous improvement and the development of innovative, person-centred support Lead and develop senior management teams, promoting accountability, strong leadership and workforce excellence Ensure services deliver high-quality, person-centred support that meets the needs of autistic adults Strengthen relationships with commissioners, local authorities, regulators and external stakeholders to support service development Identify opportunities for growth, improve occupancy and referrals, and support the expansion of services Provide strategic advice and operational insight to the executive team, contributing to organisation-wide planning and decision-making

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

Significant senior leadership experience within autism services, learning disabilities or adult social care Proven experience leading multiple services or a large, geographically dispersed operational portfolio Strong understanding of autism, person-centred care, safeguarding and regulatory requirements Demonstrable experience of strategic planning, service transformation and organisational development Strong financial management skills, including budgetary control, resource allocation and improving service sustainability Experience leading, developing and motivating senior management teams across complex services A track record of improving service quality, operational performance and outcomes for people supported Experience working with commissioners, local authorities, regulators and other key stakeholders Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at executive level A commitment to promoting inclusion, independence, choice and positive outcomes for autistic adults

The successful Director of Operations will receive an excellent salary of up to £90,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
