We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Bexhill, with an immediate start available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference to students' learning and development.
The Role- As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide classroom and learning support. You will help students stay engaged with their work, build confidence and get the most from their education.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students in lessons across the secondary schoolProviding one-to-one and small-group support where requiredHelping students access and understand their learningWorking alongside teachers to support classroom activitiesEncouraging positive behaviour and engagementBuilding positive and professional relationships with studentsSupporting students who may have additional learning needsWe're Looking For The school would be interested in hearing from candidates who have:
Previous experience working with children or young peopleExperience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker or similarA patient, positive and encouraging approachExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to build strong relationships with studentsA reliable and professional attitudeA genuine interest in supporting young peopleYou don't necessarily need previous secondary school experience — relevant experience working with young people will also be considered.
