Lead Electrical Engineer – Central London – FM Service Provider – £52,400 per annum
CBW is currently recruiting an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join an established FM service provider on a prestigious contract in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking to take the next step in their career and join a large, established FM provider. The position offers a 4 on 4 off, days-only shift pattern, an excellent benefits package, ongoing technical training and opportunities for future career progression.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, working closely with the wider engineering team and specialist subcontractors. You will also have the opportunity to undertake further technical and authorised person training. This is a client-facing role, so we are looking for someone technically strong who is also professional, reliable and confident communicating with clients, colleagues and contractors.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the siteMaintain single-phase and three-phase electrical systemsCarry out electrical fault-finding, repairs and testingDiagnose electrical faults and source replacement partsCarry out electrical inspections, testing and remedial worksComplete Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing in accordance with current BS 7671 requirementsUndertake relevant AP training and developmentSupport the planning and delivery of electrical shutdownsAssist with project works and electrical upgradesOversee and liaise with specialist subcontractorsSupport the wider engineering team with technical issuesEnsure all electrical work is carried out safely and to a high standardMaintain accurate site records, reports and relevant electrical documentationEnsure safe systems of work and site procedures are followed at all timesDevelop strong working relationships with the client and wider contract teamRequirements
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent18th EditionInspection & Testing qualification / experienceStrong experience within commercial building services / facilities managementExperience carrying out PPM and reactive electrical maintenanceStrong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systemsExperience with electrical fault-finding, repairs, inspection and testingKnowledge of current BS 7671 regulationsAM1 and AM2 qualifications / achievementsExperience installing and commissioning electrotechnical systemsAble to work independently and use own initiativeProfessional and confident in a client-facing environmentGood communication and problem-solving skillsWilling to undertake further technical and AP trainingSuccessful candidates must complete the necessary pre-employment background and security checksIf you are interested, please apply below or send your CV to Katie at CBW Staffing Solutions
