I am currently working with a Specialist Fleet Maintenance Company in Coventry who are looking to strengthen their internal team with the appointment of a Vehicle Supply Chain Manager
Job Description for Vehicle Supply Chain Manager:
Full-time role providing leadership and management of small team to expedite the S & OP cycle.
Plans and project manage the vehicle build schedules using preferred project system to ensure the efficient and effective workflow of vehicle build delivering projects on time.
Provides timely reports (weekly) to Finance on Capital spend forecasts.
Responsible for ensuring the order and build process meets the business pipeline and customers vehicles are delivered to the correct specification and according to original delivery schedule.
General Responsibilities
- Adhere to all statutory requirement regarding fire, health, safety, and hygiene.
- Participate in cross / multi skilled training within your department or other departments as deemed appropriate by your manager.
- Carry out any reasonable instruction as directed by a Senior Manager [or Director]
- Always deal with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Always maintain a high level of dress and appearance adhering to PPE where the role requires this
- Attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to all company regulations.
- From time to time you may be required to carry out duties outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably requested by Management.
Ideal experience
- Body builder or Vehicle manufacturer experience advantageous
- Highly numerate, able to interpret financial data and good commercial acumen
- People Management skills
- Ability to manage high value projects/ good understanding & use of Microsoft project or similar required
- Supplier relationship management experience
- Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Good understanding of CAPEX and financial reports.
- Ability to pick-up in-house computer systems easily
- Ability to meet deadlines and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Good communication skills at all levels both verbal and written
- An excellent team player, able to integrate as part of a matrix, collaborative structure
