I'm working with a client that is looking for a Senior (10+ PQE) Intellectual Property Associate to join their team.

The client is a national law firm that provides high-quality legal services to businesses of all sizes and sectors.

They have a strong reputation in the IP field and are looking for someone who can handle a varied and complex caseload of contentious and transactional IP matters.
 
As a Senior Intellectual Property Associate, you will work on a broad range of IP issues, such as:
 

- Advising clients on how to protect and enforce their IP rights, including trade marks, patents, designs, copyrights and trade secrets
- Drafting and negotiating IP agreements, such as licences, assignments, co-existence agreements and confidentiality agreements
- Conducting IP due diligence and risk assessments in the context of corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and investments
- Developing and implementing IP strategies for clients to maximise the value of their IP assets and minimise potential disputes
- Supporting the firm's registered trade mark and registered design practice, including filing applications, responding to objections and managing portfolios

 
To be considered for this role, you will need:
 

- At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in IP law, preferably in both contentious and transactional matters
- A strong academic background and excellent technical skills
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude to business development and client relationship management
- A willingness to learn new areas of IP law and work across different industry sectors
