Audit Senior

Audit Senior | Banbury | £45,000 – £55,000 | Permanent

A growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Senior to run a varied portfolio of audit clients and take real ownership of the work. You will sit close to the Directors, shape how the firm approaches audit and assurance, and help bring on the junior team.

This is an audit-led seat with some accounts exposure, so you will keep a broad skill set rather than being boxed into one corner. Relocators will be considered.

What you'll be doingLeading audits from planning through to sign-off, including more complex clientsScoping assignments, setting deadlines and allocating the team's timeTesting internal controls and giving clients practical, commercial recommendationsWorking directly with Directors and clients, and writing clear audit reportsSupervising and developing junior colleaguesHelping to improve the firm's audit, risk and assurance processesSome accounts preparation alongside the audit workWhat you'll bringACA or ACCA qualifiedProven experience leading audit teams in practiceSolid grounding in audit standards and FRS 102Confident with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks (Caseware or CCH a bonus)Strong communication, organisation and client-management skillsWhat's on offerSalary £45,000 – £55,000, depending on experienceFlexible workingGenerous holidayA comprehensive benefits packageClear career development within a growing firmInterested?
