About the role and school
Teach Plus are currently working with a welcoming three-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Nursery Teacher from November 2026.
The school is looking for a dedicated Nursery Teacher who can create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating environment where children can develop their communication, confidence, independence and early learning skills.
The successful Nursery Teacher will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and be confident planning activities around children's interests and developmental needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nursery Teacher who enjoys working with young children and wants to join a supportive three-form entry primary school.
Job Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Nursery learning experiences
Follow the EYFS framework and support children's development
Create a stimulating and language-rich learning environment
Support children's communication and social development
Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships
Observe, assess and track children's progress
Adapt activities to meet individual needs
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider EYFS team
Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care
Qualifications/Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised UK teaching qualification
Previous Early Years or Nursery teaching experience desirable
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Experience planning and delivering play-based learning
Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication skills
Good understanding of child development
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Passionate about supporting children's early development
