Senior Residential Support Worker
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker on behalf of a private client who operate children's home's throughout the UK.
This vacancy is based in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area in a 4 bed home in Pentre for young people with emotional behavioural difficulties,mild learning disabilities and autism.
It is a permanent position with a salary of between £25867- £26160 per annum with additional pay for Sleep-ins.
The normal working pattern usually follows working for 2 days and then having 4 days off.
For example the shift pattern could be 8am-11pm followed by a sleep in and then another 8am-11pm shift followed by 4 days off.
As a Senior Residential Support worker you will provide support to young people within the home on a day to day based and provide support to the Registered manager in the running of the home.
Key responsibilities and duties of the role will include:
* To participate in the day-to-day operation of the service * To plan, manage and create a robust plan for each shift and to organise resources in line with shift expectations.* To consistently promote a safe environment and safe working practices.* To support the young people on social and educational activities and to support them in developing their learning and educational aspirations.* To create a friendly and relaxed environment for the young people which encourages enjoyment, self-motivation, positive self-esteem and respect for themselves and others* To support the young people to lead a healthy lifestyle in every aspect of their lives and provide guidance and support where required.
