Teaching Assistant

Service care solutions are recruiting on behalf of a private client for a Teaching Assistant to join their team.

There are both full time and part time positions available.This school is a day and residential school for children aged 6-19 for boys and girls with autism and complex learning needs.The schools aim is to bring the best out of ever pupil and help them to achieve positive experiences and progress according to their own individual abilities.You will work 2:1 in a classroom that is designed personally by the child, meaning they can chose things they like to make their time there more comfortable.Your duties as a Teaching Assistant are:

Provide pupils support in guidance of the class teacher
Establish a good relationship with pupils by using language and other communication skills that can be understood by the pupil
Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies

As a Teaching Assistant you need:

Experience working with children with autism or complex needs is preferred
You must have worked with children before
Be able to communicate well and understand the needs of the children

As a Teaching Assistant you can expect a salary of £18,880pa plus:
