Drainage Engineer – FM Service Provider – High-End Residential Buildings – Canary Wharf, London – Up to £48,000 / £180 per day PAYE or CIS

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Drainage Engineer to work across a portfolio of seven high-end residential buildings, including six sites in Canary Wharf and one in Battersea.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive drainage maintenance, working closely with clients, site teams and specialist subcontractors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer looking for a stable, site-based role with good benefits and opportunities for career progression.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pmFriday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Carrying out planned and reactive drainage maintenance across multiple high-end residential sitesUndertaking drainage camera surveys of rainwater gullies, stacks and below-ground drainage systemsDiagnosing drainage faults and recommending appropriate remedial or improvement worksSupporting the development and maintenance of drainage plans and asset informationSupervising and coordinating specialist drainage subcontractors on-sitePrimarily supporting landlord areas, with some tenant-area works when requiredCompleting accurate reports, maintenance records and compliance documentationWorking closely with clients and site teams to ensure drainage systems remain operational and well maintained
Requirements:
Recognised plumbing qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalentStrong hands-on experience with commercial drainage systemsLegionella / L8 awareness or qualificationStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsProven experience within commercial building maintenanceAbility to work independently and as part of a wider engineering teamGood communication and client-facing skillsMust be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates
