Position: Chef Location: Buckfastleigh
Salary: £17.00 per hour
Shifts: Tuesday to Saturday
About the Role We are recruiting for a Chef to join our client's Café, based in Buckfastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a popular café known for its quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to using fresh ingredients. Working within a busy kitchen environment, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen while delivering a great customer experience. Key Responsibilities Preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch and daily specials to a high standard Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards Managing food preparation and ensuring efficient kitchen operations Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock rotation Working collaboratively with the front of house and kitchen team to deliver excellent service _______________________________________________________________________ About You
Essential: Previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or hospitality setting Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment Passion for producing high-quality fresh food Desirable: Food Hygiene Certificate Experience creating daily specials and seasonal menu items Experience within a café or daytime dining environment
