We're looking for a talented External Technical Sales Consultant to work for our client based in St Helens

The Role:
As the External Technical Sales Consultant you will be required to travel to customer sites regularly as part of their role and would need to be able to hit the ground running with minimal training.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Visiting new and existing client sites to offer technical advice and promote the companys’ bespoke plastic machined component products and close sales.
- Attract new customers to the business and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Able to work autonomously, managing your own diary and planning your working week in advance, to maximise business opportunities with new and existing clients to achieve personal and business sales targets.
- Collate and manage sales figures to document reports using Microsoft Office (experience required).
- Attend weekly sales meetings to present weekly sales results and to share successes and future plans
- Manage and plan sales budgets
Training will be provided for this role to assist the incoming External Technical Sales Consultant with learning our clients IT systems and internal processes.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this External Technical Sales Consultant role will require three or more years’ experience of working in a External Technical Sales Consultant role and ideally within the plastics machined components industry.
To perform the External Technical Sales Consultant role, you will also need:
- Ability to demonstrable experience and provide examples of closing sales with new and existing customers.
- An outgoing and confident personality with the ability to build rapport, gain trust and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Experience and a good knowledge of the plastics machined components industry with technical knowledge of plastics.
- A professional, self- motivated attitude, displaying honesty and integrity at all times and possess the ability to remain calm under pressure
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload with minimal supervision.
- No more than 3 points on your driving licence.
Experience of machining plastic components, using a 3 or 4 axis mill, lathe or grinder would be desirable.

The Package:
Basic salary: £27,000- £32,000 per annum
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank hols ( 5 days’ to be taken for Christmas shutdown)
