We're working with an enterprise scale global entertainment organisation seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer to support and enhance a modern hybrid infrastructure environment across cloud and on-premise platforms.
This is a hands-on role focused on Kubernetes, Linux administration, automation, monitoring, and platform reliability. You'll play a key part in ensuring critical systems remain secure, scalable and highly available while supporting engineering teams across a global business.
The Role Key responsibilities include:
Building, managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premise environments.
Supporting and administering MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
Managing monitoring, alerting and logging platforms.
Automating infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and scripting.
Maintaining high availability and resilience across critical systems.
Managing access controls and permissions within cloud platforms.
Troubleshooting, performance tuning and platform optimisation.
Developing technical standards, best practices and documentation.
Providing technical support and guidance to internal engineering teams.
Required Experience We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in some or all of the following:
Hands-on administration of sharded MongoDB clusters.
Building and managing Kubernetes environments, including GKE and self-managed clusters.
Designing and supporting highly available, resilient infrastructure.
Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack and rsyslog.
Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Packer and Bash.
Strong Linux administration experience, particularly Ubuntu environments.
Exposure to medium or large-scale business environments.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Experience collaborating with teams across multiple locations and time zones.
