IT Test Lead

JOB TITLE - IT Test Lead
SALARY - £56,000 + 15% bonus and benefits
LOCATION - London / Surrey hybrid 2 days a week onsite
JOB ROLE -
As a Test Lead, you’ll be responsible for the direction, coordination, and execution of testing activities to support the implementation of software and system changes including support of an Agile/Digital transformation roadmap for the organisation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -
Co-ordinate Testing activity across numerous 3rd party suppliers and business users, both onshore and offshore
Own the testing process and associated methodology• Build relationships with key stakeholders to provide support and best practice methodology• Work with test team members on a daily basis ensuring sufficient work is covered• Act as single point of contact and escalation between development and all areas of testing (SIT, UAT, Validation, Performance and Load Testing, etc.)• Lead implementation of Test Automation tooling, process, framework and reporting• Plan and co-ordinate testing schedules• Defining, documenting and adhering to testing governance including gateway entry and exit
Organise daily test meetings on progress and feedback to senior management• Lead on initiatives to continuously improve testing processes, quality and cost, e.g.

Automation• Maintain an awareness of industry innovations and best practice
EXPERIENCE -
Substantial knowledge of SDLC using various methodologies (including Agile, Waterfall, V-Model)• Hands on experience in Test Lead/Manager roles on project implementations in a fast moving software environment• Experience implementation and driving test automation initiatives within software environments• Implementation of test automation tooling, including Selenium, Eggplant, JMeter, Postman in an operational environment• Experience of scripting and coding test automation scripts• Experience of using Jira for defect tracking and triage• Experience of TDD, BDD and supporting test methodologies in Agile environments• Experience of liaising with and managing key stakeholders - including customers, internal software teams and external third parties• Strong written and verbal communication
