Mobile Water Treatment Technician – Birmingham – National Facilities Management Organisation: Commercial & Public Sector

We are currently seeking skilled Mobile Water Treatment Technicians to join our water treatment contract, supporting a large healthcare contract across multiple sites in the West Midlands, with additional coverage across other contracts within the Birmingham and Coventry region.

We are currently recruiting for three positions, with opportunities available for both Experienced and Junior Water Treatment Technicians.

Package
Experienced Water Treatment Technician – £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (depending on experience)Junior Water Treatment Technician – £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)Van & Fuel Card suppliedCore hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmParticipation in 'out of hours' on call rotaTraining, development & progression opportunitiesResponsibilities
Carry out temperature monitoring, showerhead descales, TMV servicing and water samplingComplete cold water storage tank inspections and cleans, along with general water treatment and hygiene dutiesCarry out water softener servicing, closed system works, chlorine testing and internal chlorifier inspections, where experiencedComplete planned and reactive water treatment works across healthcare and commercial sites throughout the regionWork in accordance with relevant water hygiene, legionella regulations and client requirementsMaintain accurate records, documentation and site logsWork independently or alongside experienced technicians depending on level of experienceSupport the wider team and continue to develop knowledge and experience across a range of water treatment activitiesQualifications
Previous experience within water treatment, water hygiene or legionella is requiredCity & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) qualification relevant to the roleUp-to-date knowledge of technical regulations including: water supply, regulations/byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274Proven ability in fault diagnosis and resolutionRelevant industry qualifications would be advantageousLevel 2 Plumbing qualification would be desirable for experienced candidatesFull, valid UK driving licenceMust be able to successfully obtain an Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists checkIf you are a Water Treatment Technician and are looking for a rewarding career opportunity, please apply with your full CV or contact Amy O'Shea at CBW Staffing Solutions.
