Apprentice Design Technician (Business Admin)

Duties include:

Assist in the production of water design drawings, Synergy reports and engineering documents for accepted projects. Ensure design packs are delivered on time whilst maintaining a high level of quality.   Liaise with Technical Coordinators and third-party network owners to obtain design approvals. Attend the weekly Technical Coordinator meetings in accordance with the providing administrative input into the process. Compliance with WIRS procedures and understanding of NAVS procedure. Knowledge Development – ensure you are aware of and understand the latest company processes, procedures and standards to aid and uphold the good reputation of professionalism of the company. Update personal and technical drawing calendars in real time. Keep water companies’ information up to date.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

Key Skills:

Some knowledge of AutoCAD. Proactive in identifying potential issues and escalating them appropriately, showing a practical approach to problem-solving. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment whilst demonstrating the capability to operate independently and take initiative. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). Basic understanding of water networks is preferred but not essential.

This role will be supported by the Business Administration Level 3 qualification delivered by Starting Off.



Training:
Level 3 Business Administration Remote training delivery One file VLE 6 hours of dedicated training time every week

Training Outcome:

Possible full-time permanent position upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Our client has been working with developers providing them with the expertise to deliver the utilities on construction projects since 2003. They work with a large range of house builders and construction companies installing Water, Gas, Electricity and Fibre to their site's, on time and on budget. 



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8:30 – 17:00.
