Level 3 Health & Safety Apprenticeship

Support Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives across SSL sites. Assist with risk assessments, safe systems of work, policies and procedures. Undertake workplace inspections and site visits to monitor safety standards. Support accident and incident investigations and identify root causes. Help create and deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety training. Create content for health, safety and wellbeing campaigns. Analyse information and present findings to support continuous improvement. Support the review and development of safety management systems. Learn to interpret and apply health and safety legislation in the workplace. Work with colleagues to identify hazards and promote safe working practices.

Training:
Training will take place through a blend of workplace learning across SSL sites and online learning delivered by GLP Training. The apprentice will receive dedicated off-the-job training as part of their working week. Regular support and reviews will be provided by GLP Training and SSL colleagues throughout the programme.The apprenticeship is expected to take approximately 14 months, followed by an End Point Assessment period.

Training Outcome:

Successful completion of the apprenticeship will provide the knowledge, skills and experience needed to pursue a career in Health, Safety and Wellbeing. The apprentice will gain experience across a wide range of activities, including safety management systems, investigations, training, wellbeing initiatives and continuous improvement projects within a multi-site organisation.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. This is a hybrid role with some opportunity to work from home, however a regular visible presence across SSL sites will be required to meet the needs of the business.
