Mechanical Fitter Apprentice

Newtech Intelligent Automation Ltd is an Alcumus SafeContractor-accredited specialist in the design and manufacture of high-performance automation equipment for the food and beverage industry.

Based in Sharnbrook, the company is committed to delivering safe, sustainable, and innovative machinery that meets the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.

As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience building and assembling bespoke automated machinery and mechanical sub-assemblies, while working alongside skilled engineers in a modern manufacturing environment.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will learn how to interpret engineering drawings, use a wide range of tools and equipment, and develop the practical skills required to produce high-quality machinery to exacting standards.

This role is ideal for someone with an interest in mechanical engineering who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is keen to develop a career in advanced manufacturing.

Previous experience using hand tools, good hand-eye coordination, and a mechanical aptitude would be beneficial, but no prior industry experience is required as full training and support will be provided.



Training:
Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required

Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent position within Newtech Intelligent Automation Ltd.'s manufacturing team As your skills and experience develop, there will be opportunities to progress within the business, with potential career pathways into areas such as Service and Mechanical Design

Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm and Friday 9.00am - 2.30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break).
