Warehouse Operative Apprentice
No two days will look exactly the same, but your typical week could include:
Lifting and moving bulky stock items Picking and allocating stock Packaging goods ready for dispatch Checking the quality of goods Loading and unloading vehicles Checking products against delivery notes, including measuring door sizes and glass apertures Inputting information accurately onto computer systems Helping customers in person and over the phone in a courteous, polite and professional way Completing stock checks Keeping the warehouse and your workspace clean and tidyYou’ll have support around you while you learn, but we’ll also encourage you to stay focused, use your initiative and understand why accuracy matters at every stage.
Please note: This is a repetitive and very physical role. You will need to be comfortable lifting and moving heavy and bulky items throughout the day as part of the team.
Training:
Work-based training supported by a tutor from High Ridge Training. You’ll be expected to take an active approach to your learning, developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to become a qualified Warehouse Operative. The apprenticeship training is delivered on site and online, a combination of blended learning This includes the successful completion of the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification
