Engineering Fitter Apprentice
Assembly of the electrical wiring in the Stormsaver control panels (PLC)
Assembly of the plumbing in the Stormsaver control panels (training given)
Assembly of all mechanical and electrical equipment, using the correct hand tools in a safe and correct manner
Prepare and pack all equipment to suit the production schedule
Answer all incoming enquiries be they calls or emails, to the manufacturing department
Assist with stock taking and understand the importance of accuracy for this task
Accept incoming deliveries, check and unpack and store in the correct area of the workshop
All to be done in a timely fashion
Report all incoming stock or any missing/damaged items to the Operations Manager
Ensure you pass all paperwork and POD’s to the finance team
Ensure that all data stored in the CRM is current and up to date to deliver accurate information
Manage all administration created by your own work. E.g filing, updating hard copy and digital records and maintaining any information in the ERP system as required
Testing and monitoring of equipment prior to delivery to the highest quality standards
Assembly of all products to the highest quality standards ensuring customer satisfaction and ease of commissioning for engineers
Ensure that quality standards are met in all the work that you do, through from paperwork to manufacturing
Comply with company policies regarding health and safety, including The Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
Perform additional duties within the scope of the job as required
Training:
Training will be delivered one day per week, term time, and is based at our Engineering and Electrical Centre, Ruddington
The facilities are in creation to enrich the student experience, developing them with the necessary skills using industry recognised equipment to ensure the apprentice receives training closely matched to the employer’s and Industry.
Training Outcome:
A full-time position which gives you the opportunity to progress within Stormsaver
After becoming qualified there is career progression opportunities with wage incentives

Working Hours :
Monday- Friday 8.30am- 5.00pm with a 60 min lunch 37.5 hours per week
