IT Administrator Apprentice (Level 3 Business Administrator)

The IT Administrator, working very closely with all members of the IT Team, is a key player in supporting the team activities: thriving for excellence, supporting a culture of harmonisation & continuous improvement, and adding value to the business. 

The role will be accountable for sustaining key administrative and processing activities within the department. Ensuring a robust approach and that activities are administered, monitored and controlled to a high standard. 

The role sits under the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.

Business As Usual Activities: 

Processing of IT purchase requests (including purchase requisition, purchase orders, monitoring, tracking and reporting) Preparation of data to support spend analysis activities Administration of IT document management system and associated processes Support department budget activities (information preparation, tracking and reporting) Support department supplier management and due diligence activities (tracking documentation, maintaining logs) Contribute to internal audit activities to monitor, control, track and report process adherence Prepare and maintain slide decks, logs, registers and KPI trackers for progress reporting 

Continuous Improvement: 

Create and maintain process documentation/workflows Proactively support maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns Contribute to/participate in root cause analysis and problem solving 

General: 

Maintain a complete understanding of and adheres to all IT policies and processes Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, trust, and collaboration

Training:
Business Administrator Level 3 Online attendance with Loughborough College within the first 15-months, one morning per week with onsite sessions in the afternoon to assist with portfolio building and preparation for End Point Assessment Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor Attendance to Loughborough College for an Induction Day (Induction to take place on the last Wednesday of the month that you are enrolled, 9:30am-3pm. Confirmation of date provided upon enrolment) On-the-job training Off-the-job training

Training Outcome:

Full-time IT Administrator with possible route to Junior IT positions.
