Level 2 Pharmacy services Assistant Apprentice

Typical duties for a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprentice could include:

Supporting customers and patients at the pharmacy counter. Receiving and processing prescriptions. Preparing and assembling medicines under supervision. Labelling and dispensing prescriptions accurately. Ordering, receiving and storing medicines and pharmacy stock. Checking stock levels and expiry dates. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised pharmacy environment. Using pharmacy computer systems and maintaining accurate records. Supporting the wider pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks. Following pharmacy procedures, confidentiality requirements and health and safety guidance. Developing knowledge of medicines and common health conditions. Communicating professionally with patients, customers and healthcare professionals.

Training:

The apprentice will gain practical, on-the-job experience within the pharmacy while completing their Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship with Halesowen College. Training will include online learning, regular tutor/assessor support and dedicated off-the-job training to develop the knowledge and skills required for the role.



Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, the apprentice can progress into a permanent Pharmacy Services Assistant role and continue developing their career within pharmacy. They may also have the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, subject to the relevant entry requirements.

Working Hours :
Monday, 9.00am - 6.00pm. Tuesday, 9.00am - 6.00pm. Wednesday, 9.00am - 1.00pm. Friday, 9.00am - 6.00pm. With flexibility to work Saturdays.
