Apprentice Finance Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the purchase ledger system Checking expense claim receipts against the company expense policy and identifying vat to reclaim in accordance with HMRC guidelines Processing new supplier requests on FocalPoint Dealing with supplier requests for payment and supplier queries via email and on the phone Dealing with internal requests for payment and general queries via email over Teams and on the phone Processing new supplier requests on FocalPoint Verification of supplier bank details over the phone Weekly supplier and expense payments

Training:

In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Standard as an Accounts Assistant. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) in maths and English, or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skill in the relevant subject.



Training Outcome:

Ability to progress to a Level 3 qualification in AAT.
