Apprentice Maintenance Technician
To carry out basic maintenance tasks on bespoke machinery in the knitting and covering departments
To follow company processes to carry out machinery order changeovers
To develop the ability to check if machines are running correctly against product specifications
To carry out basic machinery maintenance checks
To support with maintenance QA documentation
To keep the maintenance workshop clean and tidy
To carry out manual handling duties including lifting, lowering and bending
Training:
Attendance at Stephenson College block delivery
Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Engineering Operative
Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)
Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations (Knowledge)
Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
Seven Units completed on the Engineering Competence can be mapped into the Foundation Competence qualification on most Level 3 Standards
Diarised visits from a dedicated Trainer/Assessor
