CNC Milling Machinist - Days Only

An opportunity for a CNC Milling Machinist to join a specialist steel and manufacturing business that operate from a 300,000 sq.

ft premises.

Our client have already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high profile projects and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another major contract and thus are looking to add a CNC Milling Machinist on a Permanent Contract.
Our client operate from a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which includes fabrication with robotics, semi-automated and manual welding stations and at its height processed and fabricated 30,000 tonnes of Steel Annually.
Our client handle all sizes and types of work from carbon steel to aluminium and it works in a range of sectors including defence and security and have recently won a multi-million pound contract in the rail industry.

DUTIES included for the role of CNC Milling Machinist ;

Writing and proving programs for all machines as required
Set up jobs on machine centres.
Work with jigs and fixtures.
Machine parts to customer specification, record contract documentation.
Ensure correct marking up of component parts and use of the labelling system.
Ensure parts are flowing to the next process with correct labelling procedures.
Ensure that “Route Cards” are being followed and signed off following each operation.
Work with Senior Manufacturing Engineer to determine feasibility of machining new products.


KEEN to speak to CNC Milling Machinists ;

Able to set, operate and programme vertical machining centres.
Knowledge of Edgecam Programming.
Fanuc controls experience.
Apprentice Trained.

Permanent position , PAYE rate of pay up to £20 per hour.
