An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VP to join a growing international engineering organisation specialising in customised and commercial RF and microwave electronics and advanced antenna solutions for defence, aerospace, satellite communications, commercial and other high-performance industries.

The company is part of an established international RF technology group focused on developing and supplying technologically advanced products while protecting its intellectual property. The US business provides specialist RF and microwave electronics, RF components and antenna solutions to customers across demanding and technically complex markets.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving the strategic direction and sustainable growth of the US business across the American market. The successful candidate will have full P&L responsibility and will work closely with customers, strategic partners, Board members and Group leadership to develop commercial opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and support the continued growth of the business.

This role would suit a commercially astute senior executive with a strong background in sales leadership, business development and operational management, combined with technical credibility within RF, microwave, antenna, electronics or engineering environments. Experience within defence, aerospace, aviation or communications markets would be highly advantageous.

Main Responsibilities of the VP (Remote):

Lead the development and execution of growth strategies across the US market, with a particular focus on Aerospace and Defence Drive sustainable revenue growth, market expansion and new business development opportunities Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key customers, strategic partners and major accounts Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements and ensure the business delivers appropriate technical and commercial solutions Lead, develop and motivate high-performing teams through coaching, performance management and succession planning Define and implement the strategic direction of the US business, aligning commercial, technical and operational priorities Maintain full P&L responsibility for the US business, including budgeting, forecasting, margins and financial performance Develop and implement effective sales, marketing, customer success and account management strategies Manage complex, high-value opportunities and large enterprise customer relationships Develop and scale effective sales operating models and revenue processes Use data, analytics and commercial metrics to support business performance and decision-making Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Board and wider Group leadership Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, legal and corporate governance requirements, including ITAR and EAR Develop strong relationships with investors, Board members, Group executives, customers and other senior stakeholders Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation and customer focus

Requirements of the VP (Remote):

Proven experience in a senior leadership position within a fast-paced, growing SME or international engineering organisation Strong background within RF, microwave, antenna, electronics, engineering or manufacturing environments Proven track record in sales leadership, revenue growth and commercial strategy Extensive experience across sales, marketing, customer success and account management Strong understanding of go-to-market strategy, pricing and revenue operations Experience managing complex, high-value deals and large enterprise customers Strong financial understanding, including revenue forecasting, margins, budgeting and P&L management Ability to use data and analytics to drive commercial performance and business decisions Experience designing and scaling sales operating models Strong ability to influence at Board level and manage senior stakeholder relationships Excellent customer-facing credibility with key accounts and strategic partners Strong understanding of Aerospace, Defence, Aviation or Communications markets Experience operating within a growing international Group structure Familiarity with CRM systems and sales management tools Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively across internal and external stakeholders 15+ years' relevant industry experience, including 7–10+ years in senior leadership positions with commercial, operational or P&L accountability Excellent written and spoken English

Desirable:

Experience within defence, aerospace, aviation or communications industries Technical understanding of RF, microwave, antenna or electromagnetic engineering solutions Experience within an acquisitive or international engineering Group Knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations Understanding of CMMC, cybersecurity and ISO standards Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central or Salesforce Familiarity with RF simulation tools such as MATLAB, FEKO or CST B.Eng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Engineering, Business or a related discipline Master's-level engineering, business or design qualification MBA or PhD in Electronic Engineering Additional languages, particularly German
