Manufacturing Apprentice - Level 3
A four-year Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacturing. You will be part of a busy machine shop learning key production skills for our range of machined parts, you will also learn how to tackle new bespoke components to be manufactured. You will be trained to use a range of machines and develop skills such as:
Read and interpret relevant data and documentation used to produce machined components Determine the most efficient, effective and safe approach to machine the component using a range of tools, machining process and techniques Select and set up the correct tooling and work holding devices Set and adjust the machine operating parameters to produce the work pieces to the required specification. This will involve setting feeds and speeds for roughing and finishing operations Select and use a range of measuring and gauging equipment to check components are to the required quality and accuracy Produce complex and specialist components as a one-off test and trial work piece and/or producing components in small or large batchesTraining:
First year at BEMA, undertaking Skill and Theory training, second year, day release to College at BEMA with in house training for the remainder of the apprenticeship. to achieve your Level 3 Machinist Technician award.
Training Outcome:
Completion of the Apprenticeship is designed to be recognised by relevant Professional Engineering Institutions at the appropriate level of professional registration (EngTech).

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm and Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm.
