Apprentice Bricklayer

All projects are different, however in general terms you will cover the following skills.

Assist with laying bricks, blocks and other building materials Prepare and mix mortar to the required specifications Measure, mark out and set up work areas accurately Support the construction and repair of walls, foundations and other structures Use and maintain hand and power tools safely Follow technical drawings and site instructions Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment Work alongside experienced bricklayers to develop skills and knowledge Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times Attend training and complete apprenticeship coursework

Training:
4 days a week working with the company at various sites and one day a week at college (Malvern campus)

Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice may progress into a full-time Bricklayer role with Mark R Bennet Property Developers. With experience and further training, there may be opportunities to advance to Senior Bricklayer, Site Supervisor, Foreperson, Site Manager, or even progress into self-employment within the construction industry.



Employer Description:

Mark R. Bennett leads a highly skilled construction workforce which has been operating mainly in Worcestershire for some 35 years, ranging from large individually designed new build properties, to renovations and conversions of smaller units, including smaller works such as kitchen extensions, and those projects requiring repairs and maintenance. We also have experience with the care and maintenance of Listed Buildings and are able to provide a design and build service.



Working Hours :
Monday- Thursday 7.30am- 4.30pm Friday at College- 08:30am- 4:30pm Breaks 10am- 10.30am 1.00pm - 1.30pm
