Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Supervising and supporting teaching activities to ensure the safety and learning development of children Monitoring individual pupil progress and reporting any issues to the responsible teacher Assisting with learning activities, preparing or modifying work as directed, and providing behavior management Promoting pupil independence in learning and social skills, reinforcing self-esteem through praise and encouragement Preparing and maintaining equipment and teaching resources for lessons and activities Complying with policies and procedures related to child protection, health and safety, and data protection Participating in relevant meetings and assisting with group activities and programs designed by other professionals

Training:
A mixture of blended learning in the workplace and taught delivery every other Friday afternoon at the Loughborough College (optional term time only) Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor Attendance to Loughborough College for an Induction Day (Induction to take place on the last Wednesday of the month that you are enrolled, 9:30am-3pm. Confirmation of date provided upon enrolment) Attendance to Loughborough College for Functional Skills (if required) On-the-job training Off-the-job training

Training Outcome:
Able to gain employment in a school as a ‘Teaching Assistant’
