Are you an experienced children's support worker ready to take the next step?

We're looking for a confident and motivated Team Leader in Blackpool to help lead a team supporting children and young people within a residential setting.

The Role

You'll play a key role in ensuring young people receive consistent, high-quality care while supporting and developing the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the management team with the day-to-day running of the home

Leading and motivating support workers

Providing guidance and supervision to colleagues

Ensuring care plans and procedures are followed

Supporting safeguarding practices

Building positive relationships with young people

Managing incidents and challenging situations

Supporting staff development

Maintaining accurate records

Working with professionals and external agencies

Participating in sleep-in duties

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

Experience working with children and young people

Previous experience within residential care

Strong leadership and communication skills

A calm and confident approach

Good organisational skills

The ability to lead by example

A strong understanding of safeguarding

The ability to work flexibly

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior/Support Worker looking for progression into a Team Leader position.

Pay

£15.00–£15.60 per hour

£53 per sleep-in
