Strategic Network Manager - Education/Academic Sector
Location: Horley, Surrey
Salary: up to £ 40,000 + Government Pension and package
Monday - Friday (36 Hours per week 8am - 4pm )
Our client, a community school in the UK is looking to recruit a Strategic Network Manager to join their team.
You will manage day-to-day ICT, reviewing the existing ICT support services and developing and implementing procedures.
Responsibilities:
? Designing, implementing and maintaining network infrastructure to meet the school's requirements.
? Installing additional servers and upgrade the network operating system, setup firewall; maintain internet filtering systems.
? Developing the infrastructure of the network to ensure the school's ability to utilise new technologies and pedagogy.
? Ensuring that the school complies with Health and Safety legislation in relation to ICT hardware and use.
? Ensuring that all systems are appropriately secure both from user and physical damage
? Oversee and manage the maintenance of the technical infrastructure to efficiently run the system.
? Responsible for the development of the school's ICT networks and other hardware and software resources.
? Provide the server & Network Support and management of the school's IT service
? Compliance with all legislation and best practice principles
? Be adaptable to changing practices to facilitate the smooth running of the school
The ideal candidate:
? You will have good working experience in a similar role within the education industry
? Be able to demonstrate a strong and in-depth technical understanding of School ICT Systems.
? Be able to manage: Senior ICT Technician, ICT Technician, Junior ICT Technician
