Apprentice Welder/Fabricator
Every day will be hands on experience where you will undertake a variety of tasks, from basic manufacturing, to maintenance and repair of machines and equipment.
Interpret drawings, patterns, templates and specifications to mark out, produce and assemble complex fabricated products to meet the required specification and quality requirements. Building machines from start to finish. Learn MIG welding. Operate appropriate tools and equipment to join metal parts using a range of mechanical fasteners and fixing techniques. Carry out quality checks on component parts and completed assemblies. Monitor resources and activities throughout the fabrication of products or components, identifying areas for improving the production process where possible.Training:
The Engineering will typically take between 12-18 months to complete. You will attend College for one day a week.

Our products are used by a wide variety of well known businesses, including Kubota UK and Campey Turfcare, and can be found in prominent locations including premiership football clubs, royal estates, and sports grounds across the UK, as well as grass roots level facilities. We also manufacture our own established brands, including D. W. Tomlin, Longdog ATV, Pelican Planter, and the Suffolk Mower range. Apprentices will have the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled, time-served engineers and many have built long careers with us. Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 5.00pm. Friday, 8.00am - 3:30pm. Working hours will be 37-38 per week. No over time. There is a paid break in the morning and a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
