Network Engineer : DV Cleared

An opportunity has arisen for a Network Engineer to join an innovative technology organisation delivering complex software solutions for customers across a specialist technical environment. As a Network Engineer, you will help maintain and improve enterprise network infrastructure, supporting reliable, secure and high-performing IT services. This full-time role offers salary up to £78,000 and benefits. Note: Valid DV clearance is essential for this role. You will be responsible for: ? Supporting network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls and secure connectivity. ? Keeping network diagrams, technical documentation and operational procedures up to date. ? Contributing to capacity planning, performance improvements and network resilience. ? Supporting virtualised and software-defined networking environments. ? Assisting with automation and Infrastructure as Code activities where appropriate. ? For more experienced engineers, taking ownership of technical workstreams, supporting junior colleagues and contributing to network design decisions. ? Travelling to company premises or other locations when required. ? Keeping technical knowledge up to date through relevant training and professional development. What we are looking for: Essential: ? Previously worked as a Network Engineer or in a similar role. ? Valid DV clearance. ? Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Routing & switching, VLANs, DNS & DHC and Network troubleshooting methodologies. ? Background in supporting enterprise network environments. ? Familiarity with one or more networking technologies or vendors, such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE or Fortinet. ? Understanding of network security principles and good practice.Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable: ? Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, or MPLS, firewall technologies and VPN solutions. ?
