Mucking out / keeping yard area tidy
Feeding / filling hay nets and water buckets
Turning in and out
Picking out feet / rugging up
Grooming / tacking up
Tack cleaning
Bathing / show prep
Lunging / long reining
Holding for farrier / vet / dentist
Possibility of grooming at shows
Riding for the right candidate
Training:
You will be working towards the Level 3 Senior Equine apprenticeship qualification, and all training will be provided on-site during your paid working hours
Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
Training Outcome:
For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 apprenticeship or into full-time employment following successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Employer Description:
MEquestrian, based at Stondon Court in Essex, is a professional competition yard specialising in showjumping. The yard provides an opportunity to work closely with competition horses and learn about the high standards of care, preparation and management required in a competitive equestrian environment.
Working Hours :
Working 5 days per week, including weekends, 8.00am - 4.00pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
