Manufacturing Engineer

An excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to help commission a brand-new production line and shape its long-term performance within a large, well-established PLC manufacturing business.

This role may suit a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Reliability Engineer.

Key responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer:

Support the installation, commissioning and optimisation of a new production line. Improve manufacturing processes, OEE, reliability, throughput, quality and waste. Analyse performance data and lead root-cause investigations. Deliver CAPEX and improvement projects from specification through to handover. Support tooling development, manufacturing trials, NPD and NPI. Work closely with operational teams, contractors, OEMs and specialist integrators. Produce engineering drawings, specifications and operating procedures.

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who can demonstrate the following:

Experience in a manufacturing, process, production, project or commissioning engineering role. Hands-on experience introducing or commissioning manufacturing equipment. Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and continuous-improvement skills. Evidence of improving OEE, reliability, quality, throughput or waste. A relevant apprenticeship, HNC, HND, degree or equivalent engineering background. Experience of CAD, tooling, Lean Manufacturing, automation, process validation or reliability-centred maintenance would be advantageous.
