Independent Reviewing Officer

A south Wales Local authority are looking for an Independent Reviewing Officer.


You will be joining a well-established and dynamic team to continue the good work in the Independent Reviewing Service.

You will have at least 6 months recent experience of being an Independent Reviewing Officer.

You should also be able to demonstrate skills in chairing and reviewing care plans.

Your responsibilities as an Independent Reviewing Officer:

The main duties will be to ensure you are focussed on needs of children and ensuring they are addressed, minimising drift and checking the consistency of care planning and decision-making.
Good communication and organisational skills are vital for this role

Requirements of you as an Independent Reviewing Officer:

Have a relevant professional qualification in Social Work.
Registration with the Care Council for Wales or equivalent

Location: Cardiff
Salary scale: £40,500 to £43,500 d.o.e + £5k market supplement payment reviewed 12 monthly
