Fostering Team Manager

An Independent Fostering Agency is looking for a Fostering Team Manager for their fostering service that covers North East Region. This is a permanent and full-time position that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

About the job

Lead, supervise, and support fostering social workers and staff. Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of children in foster care. Oversee the recruitment, assessment, approval, and retention of foster carers. Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to foster carers. Manage complex fostering cases and placement decisions. Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, legislation, and policies. Monitor service quality, performance, and outcomes for children. Conduct audits, reviews, and implement service improvements. Work collaboratively with local authorities and partner agencies. Manage team workloads, performance, and professional development. Contribute to budget management and resource planning. Support strategic planning and the development of fostering services.

About you

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in Fostering.
