Scheme Manager Rossendale, BB4 36 Hours, Monday to Friday 3 month contract Potential temp to permOne of the largest housing associations in the UK is recruiting for a Scheme Manager to deliver an effective tenancy sustainment and building & facilities management service within their older people's Sheltered Housing Service in Rossendale, LancashireThe Service This Scheme Manager role is based within a sheltered housing service for the over 55s.
This is a 38 flat service, allowing for a maximum of 43 residents.The Role The focus of this Scheme Manager role is to provide an intensive housing management service, within a supported housing setting, taking the lead on responding to resident queries and offering general support, where required.
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
Ensuring the wellbeing of service users, carrying out welfare calls and being their point of contact for any concerns
Ensure that all service contracts operate effectively, monitoring on a regular basis.
Responsible for reporting all communal repairs.
Ensure that Residents do not leave furniture, etc.
deposited in corridors or stairways ensuring all fire escape routes are free from obstructions.
Act as contact for all communal repairs and holding communal keys for contractors' access as and when required.
Oversee the activity of any contractors carrying out work on site
Carry out regular building inspections, identifying elements of maintenance required, report repairs and implement works
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety and security
Carry out required health and safety functions including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing and complete all fire testing logs.
The service is currently undergoing some planned works (new kitchens and bathrooms), so you will be acting as a point of contact for the residents with regards to this process.The Candidate To be considered for this Scheme Manager role you will require experience of housing management and maintain an approachable, empathetic demeanour.
As the majority of the time you will be lone working, you will also need to be able to work from your own initiative.
Due to the nature of clients you will be working with in this role, you will require an enhanced DBS.The Package This is a full time Scheme Manager vacancy, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Start times are flexible, between 07:30 and 9:30 to suit the successful candidate.
