Engineering & Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship

Assist with monitoring production processes to ensure output meet quality, cost and delivery targets Carry out routine inspections, testing and basic trouble shooting under supervision Support continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance product quality Read an interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation Assist with the set-up and changeover of production equipment Maintain accurate records of maintenance, production and quality data Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures at all times Work collaboratively with production, quality and engineering colleagues

Experience at company

Moulding and Forming Trainee Design and Mould Forming 5-axis CNC Bending (Heat Method) Fabrication General Production Graphics Vat forming Laser cutting ZUND single axis CNC machine Assembly Exposure to modern plastics manufacturing processes and equipment

Training:

This is a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support apprenticeship, delivered over a 42-month period.

The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge WS9 8UG, 2.5 days a week for the first 14-months. Please ensure you are able to travel to this address as well as to the company address.



Training Outcome:

Further qualifications can be offered to the right candidate who shows aptitude.

At company 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday. 1.30pm finish on Fridays. College hours will differ.
