Supply Chain Apprentice

This role provides an opportunity to develop practical skills in purchasing, supplier coordination, sustainability initiatives, and logistics operations, while contributing to ensuring the right products are available at the right time, cost, and quality.

The apprentice will play a key supporting role in maintaining efficient processes, accurate data, and strong supplier and internal relationships.

Procurement Support

Assist with raising and processing purchase orders in line with business requirements Support supplier communication (order confirmations, delivery updates, queries) Maintain accurate procurement data within ERP/MRP systems Track open orders and follow up on overdue deliveries Support with invoice queries

Sustainability Support

Assist in maintaining sustainability data and records (e.g. supplier certifications, ESG data) Support supplier engagement activities relating to sustainability initiatives Help track and report on sustainability metrics where required Contribute to embedding sustainability into day-to-day activities

Logistics & Operations Support

Assist with coordinating inbound and outbound shipments Support documentation for imports/exports (e.g. commercial invoices, shipping paperwork) Liaise with freight forwarders and internal teams where required Help maintain accurate stock and logistics records Support basic warehouse and materials flow activities when needed

General Supply Chain Administration

Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation Assist with KPI tracking (e.g. delivery performance, lead times) Support continuous improvement activities and process updates Work collaboratively with Planning, Production, Finance, and Customer Services

Training:

All training will take place in the workplace.



Training Outcome:

Upon completion of this level 3 apprenticeship, a permanent position may be offered.
