Engineering Apprentice – Valve Workshop

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join our specialist Valve Workshop.

Working alongside our experienced Valve Technicians, you will gain valuable hands-on experience maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of industrial control, safety and process valves.

As your knowledge and confidence develop, you may also have the opportunity to accompany experienced technicians on customer site visits throughout the UK once aged 18+.

Full-time paid apprenticeship employment.

Practical, hands-on experience in a specialist engineering workshop.

Mentoring and support from experienced Valve Technicians.

Full health and safety training.

Company transport for site work where required.

Dismantling industrial valves Inspecting valve components for wear and damage Assisting with machining and refurbishment of valve components Rebuilding control, safety and standard process valves Assisting out hydraulic, air and nitrogen pressure testing. Completing workshop paperwork and electronic records accurately Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and working safely in accordance with company procedures

Training:

Engineering Maintenance Technician - dual discipline - Level 3.

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress into a permanent role, subject to satisfactory performance during the apprenticeship and the needs of the business.

The company was founded in May 2001 and is based in the heart of the West Midlands. We are ideally located at the hub of the motorway network for speedy response nationwide. We have also worked for a variety of customers overseas in Ghana, Greece, Ireland and the Netherlands.

In 2011 we moved in to purpose built premises with an area of 7500 sq. ft. to cater for our growing success and expanding business. In line with our ISO 14001 accreditation we a have low energy grade B EPC rating, low energy lighting, high standard of insulation and we recycle 80% of our waste.

 

Everyone from our Managing Director Dan Garbett downwards is an engineer with a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience. Instead of dedicated sales people in suits we offer engineers who are familiar with customer sites and individual boilers. They can offer advice in a language customers understand and on occasions carry out work on the spot. We never charge to go out to site and give advice or hide it in the bill. Helping customers to find a better alternative or save money long term is all part of the service.

 

We are here to provide our customers with whatever they need to keep their boiler systems working at optimum efficiency; from valve and boiler repairs to annual inspections, from pipework systems to special fabrications such as chimneys, feed tanks, skid units, container-house boiler units and storage tanks. We can also offer next day delivery of stocked items including Topog-E® moulded rubber gaskets.

 

Working Hours :
07.30 - 16.00 Monday to Friday (excluding days at college)
