Apprentice CAD Technician
What you will do in the short term:
Learn the basic AutoCAD commands and software functions Develop product knowledge of the precast concrete products being detailed Learn how to use the company's design and detailing package within AutoCAD Understand the design office process from receipt of order through to delivery on site Progress to producing drawings and layouts under the guidance of a mentor Attend day-release training to develop knowledge and skillsWhat you will do in the long term:
Produce detailed drawings and layouts for multiple projects Manage projects from approval layouts through to manufacture schedules Work with increasing independence while receiving ongoing support Become involved in pricing and quotations Assist in planning workloads and manufacturing priorities Support production planning activitiesTraining:
Construction Support Technician Level 3.
Training Outcome:
There are excellent opportunities for progression within FP McCann with a strong focus on continued learning and personal development. Future opportunities include progressing within the Design team using 3D modelling software such as Tekla, or moving into Estimating, Planning, Surveying, Commercial or Contracts roles.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm with a 1-hour lunch break per day.
