Apprentice Engineering Site Fitter/Fabricator
Work closely with Project Engineers and Site Fitters to learn all aspects of the engineering and fabrication process
Learn how to safely use a wide range of tools, equipment, machinery, and materials
Assist with the loading, unloading, handling, and storage of materials and components
Support the team in preparing materials, tools, and equipment required for projects and site installations
Learn how to interpret job requirements and ensure the correct materials are available for each task
Observe and assist with various welding techniques and fabrication processes following appropriate training
Develop the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and technical documents
Gain an understanding of how projects progress from design through fabrication, installation, and completion
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in accordance with health and safety procedures
Support colleagues with general workshop and site activities as required
Training:
Metal Fabricator Level 3
One day a week at Farnborough College of Technology
