Apprentice Educational Support Assistant (Level 3)

Support pupils individually and in small groups to help them access learning.  Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging learning activities.  Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.  Support children with a range of learning and developmental needs.  Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.  Promote positive behaviour and support pupil well-being.  Supervise pupils during lessons and other school activities.  Work towards achieving the Level 3 Educational Support Assistant apprenticeship standard.

Training:
Training will be delivered online by the apprenticeship training provider. The apprentice will attend regular online training sessions and workshops. Off-the-job training will be completed during normal working hours in line with apprenticeship requirements. The apprentice will receive support and mentoring from experienced school staff alongside their formal training. The apprentice will work towards achieving the Level 3 Educational Support Assistant apprenticeship standard

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice may have the opportunity to progress into a permanent Educational Support Assistant role, subject to vacancies and performance. The experience and qualification gained will also provide a strong foundation for further study and career progression within the education sector, including higher-level support roles and teaching support qualifications.
