Apprentice Quantity Surveyor
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
Support the measurement and valuation of works, including site visits and take-offs
Help manage subcontractor procurement, including issuing enquiries and analysing quotations
Assist in the preparation and submission of applications for payment and final accounts
Support the administration of contracts, including NEC and bespoke forms
Help monitor project costs and progress against budgets
Assist in identifying and valuing variations and Compensation Events
Contribute to the preparation of cost reports and forecasts
Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors
Attend site meetings and contribute to commercial discussions
Liaise with suppliers and clients under supervision
Attend college/university as required and complete coursework on time
Participate in internal training and mentoring programmes
Maintain a development log and seek feedback to improve performance
Training Outcome:
Successful apprentices may progress to Assistant Quantity Surveyor roles and continue towards full chartership (e.g., RICS or CICES) with continued support and training
