Digital and AI Customs Apprentice

Learn how international customs processes support global trade. Support the preparation and processing of customs declarations. Assist Customs teams with administrative and operational activities. Use digital systems to monitor shipments and customs activity. Explore how Artificial Intelligence can improve productivity and customer service. Help identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks. Create guides and resources to help colleagues use digital tools confidently. Use Microsoft Copilot and other AI technologies to support daily work. Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities and improvements. Support digital improvement projects across the Customs function. Build dashboards, reports and presentations to communicate insights. Work with colleagues across Operations, Customer Experience and Technology teams. Continuously look for smarter, faster and more efficient ways of working.

Training:

The AI & Digital Support programme integrates live and online workshops with self-paced learning, employing a guided discovery approach for individual learner contexts.

Learners are assigned a Digital Learning Consultant (DLC) for personalised coaching and support. These specialists ensure their successful progress, wellbeing, and readiness for assessments.

Apprentices will learn to use a variety of tools and technologies, including:

Microsoft 365 Microsoft Copilot SaaS (Software as a Service) applications.
