Business Administration Apprentice

As a Business Administration Apprentice within the Learning Services Business Support Team, you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of administrative, organisational and customer service skills while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is motivated to learn and gain experience in a professional office environment.

The Learning Services Business Support Team plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Adult and Young Adult Learning programmes. As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will be an important part of the team, helping to ensure that administrative processes run smoothly and that learners, colleagues and stakeholders receive a high-quality service.

A typical day may involve:

Responding to emails. Answering telephone enquiries. Maintaining accurate records. Supporting the administration of training courses and learning programmes. Assisting with booking learners onto courses. Preparing training materials. Updating databases and spreadsheets. Processing documentation, and supporting the organisation of meetings and events.

You will gain experience using a range of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. You will also learn how to use PICS, the Management Information System (MIS), to maintain learner records, process learning-related information and support accurate record keeping. You will learn how to manage information securely, prioritise workloads, communicate effectively with a variety of people and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive support. This role provides an excellent foundation for a future career in business administration, customer service or other professional support roles, enabling you to gain practical experience, develop transferable skills and build your confidence in the workplace while earning and learning.



Training:

Training will be 1 day a week of a mixture of virtual and face-to-face learning, totalling 20% off-the-job time for your apprenticeship. 



Training Outcome:

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will receive a qualification in Level 3 Business Administration, and a potential to be kept on with WCC on a permanent basis.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday - Flexi-time working between 8.00am - 5:30pm. Will have occasional out-of-hours work for events, etc.
