Apprentice Warehouse person

Alongside stock control, the trainee will develop broader warehouse operations skills, with a structured path toward warehouse management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities — Stock Control

Carry out regular stock takes and reconcile physical stock against records Perform stock checks and visual inspections to identify shortages, damage or discrepancies Manage material relocation and storage to keep stock organised and traceable Decant and process container deliveries, recording stock received Palletise materials correctly for onward deliveries and storage After training: support purchasing, price control, supplier quotes and associated recording

Key Responsibilities — Warehouse Operations

Make up and package customer orders Cut samples for customer requests Carry out warehouse checks and maintain a clean, presentable warehouse, units and canteen Handle staff requests, including PPE distribution and recording Support collections and deliveries when required After training: PAT test equipment; carry out face fitting; complete basic repairs to plant and cables; vehicle checks and basic repairs; forklift driving and forklift inspections

Training:

Training & Development

Training will be provided across all “after training” duties listed above, including forklift operation, PAT testing, face fitting, and vehicle/plant maintenance. As competence in stock control and warehouse operations builds, the trainee will take on increasing responsibility, with progression toward a Warehouse Manager role.



Training Outcome:

Progression within the organisation to a more senior role.
