Machining Technician Apprenticeship
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical drawings to understand the requirements of the job.
Setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machines to produce precision parts and instruments.
Inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools
Adjusting and calibrating machines to ensure that the parts produced meet quality standards
Performing routine maintenance on machinery to ensure its efficiency and longevity
Calculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Monitoring the machining process and adjusting the machine or materials as necessary
Keeping accurate records of work performed and materials used
Training:
You will work towards a Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship with day release at Gateshead College.
Training Outcome:
Progression within the company.

Ascendant Access is a local company that designs and builds a wide range of powered access platforms that excel in performance and durability. The company based in Washington who currently employs around twenty personnel and are looking to significantly expand the workforce to meet current sales.
Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 4.00pm and Friday 7.00am - 12.30pm.
